STEM Lessons
This year, we launched an educational field trip program at Skate Express that immerses students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). The STEM concepts are related to roller skating, where students will learn that STEM is all around them, it is not just a concept found in science labs. The students participate in an hour of hands on STEM activities taught by a dynamic STEM educator. After the lesson, the students will participate in one to two hours of the physical fitness activity of roller skating. We offer these great lessons for grades K-8.
We are available Monday thru Friday so long as we are not already booked. The field trip is 3 hours long. One hour for the STEM lesson then two hours to eat and skate. We need a minimum of 35 students. There are 10 STEM lessons to choose from, the higher the STEM lesson number the more advanced or higher the grade level.
